Just like D. Marks and Sai42, I too ordered the ClearTouch and was disappointed when I found out it was incorrectly sized. I had just counted on it being money lost at that point.
However, this weekend I received an email from BoxWave offering me a replacement screen protector and mini-stylus for free. I guess they knew they made a mistake.
I’m still disappointed they made the mistake, but I’ve been impressed with their customer service and how they took responsibility for the mistake.
When installing the incorrectly sized protector though, I did not have any problems with bubbles or lint. Maybe beginner’s luck, but it worked for me!
**I received my replacement ClearTouch today and couldn’t be happier!!**
I again installed no problem and this time the fit is perfect. Goes right up against the edges of the screen as promised. The antiglare doesn’t mute the display at all either. Which was another concern of mine.
The mini-stylus is something I never thought I would use, but now that I’ve gotten to play around with one it’s actually pretty fun. It’s almost more accurate than my finger touching the screen sometimes.
Initially my rating would have been lower, but I’m satisfied with my new product and love the fact that they took the time to throw in a bonus gift. Kudos to them and 5 stars as well.

The first thing I did after receiving my Kindle Fire was purchase a cheap-o screen protector, thinking that maybe all screen protectors are made equal. SO not true. I should have went with my initial gut instincts and bought the BoxWave ClearTouch. The first cheap one I had was flimsy, and REALLY hard to get the bubbles out. I went ahead and bought a ClearTouch and it was like night and day. It was a nice substantial screen protector that has some stiffness to it so that it doesn’t flop around. What I’ve found helpful is to get one end on perfectly, and SLOWLY and CAREFULLY peel of the backing while laying it down on the screen.
The BoxWave also included a “TIP” sheet to remove dust which worked like MAGIC. I’ve got it on the Kindle Fire screen PERFECTLY without a single bubble or speck of dust. The Anti-Glare is awesome and actually prevents fingerprints.
I’ve now got ClearTouch on my iPad, T-Mobile G2, and now my Kindle Fire and I would recommend it to anybody. I will never buy the cheap stuff again.

I’ve bought all my screen protectors through Boxwave, ever since my beloved Palm Treo 600 back in the day! (RIP Treo…) =(
Anyways, I’ve always been very satisfied with Boxwave’s cleartouch products. I’ve NEVER had to replace ANY Cleartouch, I’ve only ever had to buy 1 cleartouch per device. And so I couldn’t wait to purchase their anti-glare to protect my precious Kindle Fire (especially at that price!). However, I was very disappointed to find that my Cleartouch didn’t quite fit! Needless to say, it made me pretty upset. But while I was in the middle of drafting a scathing email to them, I received an email from them first, telling me that they were aware of the sizing issue, and that they’d be sending out a newly revised version free of charge within a few days.
SO… I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt and withheld judgement until I got the new Cleartouch in the mail. And the verdict is in…

I can’t even tell it’s on my screen at all… practically invisible. And even though my OCD wouldn’t allow otherwise, it really wasn’t hard working out the few bubbles that inevitably end up under the screen. Just a little TLC to work the bubbles out through the sides of the screen is all it takes to ensure a clean install. On top of the free replacement cleartouch, they even threw in a free mini stylus pen thingamajigger to show just how sorry they really are!
Even with the precise fit of the new Cleartouch, I was only going to give this a 4-star rating because of the initial bad experience, but that free stylus just bumped it up a notch! While I was pretty peeved at first, overall they did a great PR job to keep this particular customer very satisfied! Would definitely recommend to anyone on the fence about buying Boxwave’s Cleartouch over any other screen protector!!
